Cia Siab in WI: A HMoob Story Exhibit

This exhibit will showcase HMoob artifacts, objects, and artistic representations of HMoob historical trauma, resilience, and healing in Wisconsin from the perspectives of HMoob women, youth, LGBTQ, and elders in Wisconsin. Our goal is to empower HMoob communities, cultivate collective healing and promote cross-cultural understanding among the wider public. We want to explore the theme of “cia siab” (hope) to understand HMoob lived experiences of war, resettlement, historical trauma, and healing.

Hmoob Lub Neej Project

Hmoob Lub Neej Project aims to increase the presentation of Wisconsin’s Hmong Community in health research. The Hmoob Lub Neej Project hopes to develop knowledge for and about the Hmong community by collecting data using a collaborative process that centers on the elderly Hmong voices. This project developed a survey consistent with the Hmong culture and language for older (50+) Hmong participants. To learn more about this project, click the button below.
