Mental Health Workforce Development Efforts
Here at WUCMAA, we are joining the state-wide (and nationwide) efforts to address the mental health shortages in our communities. Mental health services are imperative, and representation matters. MHWD is dedicated to increasing advocacy and knowledge regarding our state and communities’ mental health services and workforce. MHWD seeks to increase the pipeline engagement for individuals to enter the mental health workforce for Southeast Asian and Hmong communities’.
Our Mission

The coalition and its members hope to carry out its mission through the following objectives:
Advocacy: identifying gaps in mental health through the lens of the Southeast Asian and HMong communities
Education: identifying and mitigating barriers toward educational pathways and career trajectories
Mentorship: building relationships and connections to mental health and substance use providers
